Cody Wayne Lock, Jr. Obituary, MINERAL WELLS, Texas — Cody Wayne Lock, Jr. passed away on August 17, 2026, surrounded by his mother and brother. He was born on December 12, 2015, in Seguin, Texas, to Cody Lock and Alexis Self.
Cody was remembered as a young boy with a bright personality and several interests that brought him happiness. He enjoyed playing Minecraft, Fortnite, and Five Nights at Freddy’s, as well as watching YouTube videos and spending time playing with his friends.
Among Cody’s favorite things was the I Survived book series, which he loved reading and enjoying. His interests reflected his creativity, curiosity, and the activities that brought him excitement throughout his life.
Cody’s passing has left his family mourning the loss of a beloved child. He is survived by his father, Cody Lock; stepfather, Herstle Renfroe; great-grandmother, Debra Swenson; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandra Lock. His loved ones continues to remember Cody and the memories they shared with him.
A memorial service honoring Cody’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells.
